I have been working a lot of hours lately so I havent had to much time to blog..... tommorrow is my day off so I have a lot of cooking to get done for Thanksgiving since I have to work Thursday we are going to do it after I get off work so I wanna get as much done ahead as I possibly can. My mom and 2 of my neices are coming over and I am looking forward to seeing the girls... the older they get the less I see of them and I miss them... they are great kids!
I haven't been feeling so wonderful lately between allergies and just germies right and left. I think a lot of it is all the hours I am working, and the fact that work has been super busy. I have a few patients that have been in and out of the hospital for a while and I am starting to get attached to them which is never any good.... one of my ladies had open heart surgery yesterday and they had to do 5 bi-passes which is a HUGE ordeal but she came through it like a trooper and when I visited her today she was up and trying to walk. She was so disappointed in having to miss Thanksgiving with her grandbabies... she told me all about letting them stay all night the night before and they stay up all night baking pies and breads....
Skylar lost a tooth today so the tooth fairy will be visiting tonight.... she went to wash the blood off of it and dropped it down the sink... thank goodness I am one of those moms who keep everything so I pretended to fish it out and replaced it with the last one that she lost LMAO! That made me hero of the hour for her so it was a good moment....
I have been really down lately so I read this thing on a devotional website I go to about keeping a journal and writing down 5 things I am thankful for at the end of the night... it's supposed to make you feel better and they had this whole big study over it and supposadly the people who did this felt better within a month all stress related symptoms were gone.... it's day 2 so it is to soon to tell but I will be sure and letcha know.....
I hope everyone is doing well and that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with your families!

The Death of Hanna Montana.. just kiddin....

As you can see the kids enjoyed Halloween... Hannah was "death" which I found a bit morbid but she promised this isn't a glimpse into a goth future so perhaps it will be okay... Skylar was Hanna Montana... and they thought it would be amusing to act out the death of Hanna Montana through picture form... it was kinna funny.... Danielle went as an overly hormonal preteen... however that's just an every day option round here... we stopped by my grandma's house for a photo op and then it was back to the bed of the truck for a speedy trick or treat... it sprinkled on us a little but then it cleared up so it's all good! Now it's on to Thanksgiving.... GOBBLE GOBBLE!!!!
Remember to vote today... but remember to pray before you vote.... I'm worried but I guess God has it all figured out and perhaps if I would remember that I wouldn't be so worried!

We had our annual church hayride last night. I think the girls really enjoyed themselves... there were hot dogs and marshmellows involved and the night was complete after goodie bags full of candy... thank goodness it warmed up a little yesterday !
Hannah's school play was Tuesday night and she did really well, I was proud that she behaved herself up on stage considering the kids around her were goofin off.... She was very excited about the whole thing and I am so glad I was able to go watch her participate. The kids are loving having their dad around to go to things like this since he isnt working anymore. For as long as they can remember he has worked 2nd shift so he hasnt ever been able to participate in school functions. These are the times I will miss the most years down the road when they are all grown up and out on their own
The kids are excited about trick or treating tommorrow night. Hannah is going as some kind of scary something (Im not sure what you would call it) and Skylar is going as Hannah Montana... Danielle is going as a cranky hormonal preteen.... oh wait... nevermind LOL! I have to work but I will be home in plenty of time to take them out... just figure I will be worn out Saturday at work I am sure!
I am loving being full time and the new hours at work. Any extra overtime I get is going to be welcome with christmas coming up! I dont have much time left over for anything else but we will get through this, and I think once I get more adjusted to the earlier hours it will only get easier! I do miss my 2nd shift friends though! They are all so funny and jus plain ol awesome... it's good to have a job that you don't just dread going into every day. I'm not saying its perfect but I think it is definatly a much needed change from where life had been headed!
The kids are all finally recovered from their round of the flu.... when I think back to this time last year we are in such a better place! Last October Danielle had her brain stem surgery and was at home recovering for that and tension was building for the big spine surgery... it is so good to have all of that behind us. I didn't realize at the time how stressfull all of that would turn out to be... thank God it's over. and she is doing SO much better!
Well... I have the day off and a couch that has been missing me that I must go show my affection for so I hope you all have a great day!
Happy Halloweenie!
